We already reported that with the reference to anonymous sources in Kazakh security services Kazakhstani KTK TV channel informed about possible involvement of Kyrgyz special services in the murder of prominent Kyrgyz journalist Gennadyi Pavlyuk.

According to KTK, three officers of Kyrgyz national security service scheduled the meeting with journalist in the apartment, where the murder took place. It has to be mentioned that Gennadyi Pavlyuk arrived in Kazakhstan from Bishkek on December 16. After checking in Kazakhstan hotel, he was picked up by unknown man. In the same evening he was placed in city hospital with many injuries: unknown people threw him from 6th floor, binding his legs and arms. On December 22 Pavlyuk died without ever having regained consciousness.

Ferghana.Ru editorial staff addressed own sources in the special services of Kyrgyzstan with the request to comment on this issue.

Our interviewee said that national security structures are not going to officially disprove such information, disseminated by privately owned Kazakhstani TV channel, especially considering the fact that there was a reference "to anonymous source in security structures".

In the opinion of our source, there may be many reasons why KTK reported this fact from aspiration to produce "sensation" to "deliberate dissemination" of false information from interested parties that asked TV channel to refer to "Kazakh security structures".

However, it also has to be mentioned that Kazakhstani side officially admitted the involvement of few Kyrgyz citizens in the murder through press-release, issued by Interior Ministry.

In their turn, Kyrgyz opposition forces already compared the murder of Pavlyuk with the aggressive campaign against journalists and Kyrgyz governmental policy, oriented to control all independent media.

Needless to say, the murder of Gennadyi Pavlyk few days prior to his launch of Ata-Meken opposition party website makes us believe that somebody had strong desire to prevent this project.
