Tajikistan: The militants are detained in the enclave of Vorukh
On October 19, the four citizens of Tajikistan were arrested in Tajik enclave of Vorukh in the Batken Oblast of Kyrgyzstan. They found the shelter there after the fight with Kyrgyz border guards on October 14, the press-office of Kyrgyz border service informed Ferghana.Ru.
It has to be mentioned that on October 14 after the short fight with Kyrgyz border guards the group of 8 people disappeared in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. Two days after the border service of the republic informed that track of militant groups goes to Tajik enclave of Vorukh. Kyrgyz soldiers immediately blocked Vorukh.
"After the accident in cooperation with Interior Ministry, Defense Ministry, National Security Service and border service continued the investigation at certain districts of Kyrgyz-Tajik border under close cooperation with Tajik law enforcement structures", press-service notes.
The Batken border service ensures medium security at state border while separate parts are blocked by both Tajik and Kyrgyz border guards.
On October 18 Tajik law enforcement bodies also conducted the number of investigation operations in the Sogd Oblast, bordering the Batken Oblast, including the enclave of Vorukh. Specifically, at about 7pm the soldiers in the city of Isfara discovered 6 armed members of organized criminal group. The gunplay lasted few hours. Preliminary information says that four fighters were killed.
The border service of Kyrgyzstan informs that the agency closely cooperates with border troops of Tajikistan.
