Uzbekistan: The balloon service is now available in Samarqand
From the now on, the guests and the visitors of Samarqand have the opportunity to take air service. Such service is provided by balloon crew with the view of ancient architectural monuments.
Such service is offered in Samarqand for the first time. It was initiated by Chernobyl-Samarqand enterprise and local Chernobyl association.
The aircraft with air bag in the volume of 2550 cubic meters was prepared by one of the Moscow firms. Besides pilot, it can take another 4 adults or 5 teenagers to the board.

The flight over the old town goes at the height of 50 meters and continues about 20 minutes, not counting time for boarding and lifting. The service fee for adult Uzbekistani citizens is 5000 sums ($3.5) and 3000 sums ($2) for kids. The foreigners pay twice as much.
Considering the great number of people near Gur-Emir mosoleum, where the boarding area is located, the unique tour became popular both among tourists and the local residents. The project designers believe in bright future of their idea and build optimistic plans. Specifically, they are planning to expand "the fleet" and establish the association of aeronautics as well as conduct flights around Samarqand.
