Uzbek Internet-providers made the piece "Smacking Of Democracy" on the Russian web site Lenta.ru, usually open to all users, unavailable. The piece analyzes the recent presidential election in Uzbekistan and quotes OSCE observers as branding the campaign non-democratic. In Uzbekistan itself, this opinion of the OSCE is never mentioned and all but banned.
