Gulnara Karimova invited her friends to the Uzbek culture party in Moscow
GULNARA KARIMOVA ARRANGED A PARTY IN MOSCOW
Gulnara Karimova, the head of the Uzbek Culture and Arts Forum and the daughter of the Uzbek President, invited her friends to the Uzbek culture party at the Forum-Hall in Moscow last Thursday.
According to Kommersant (see photos here), the invitation was accepted by numerous representatives of the Moscow business elite and political establishment. The guest list included Secretary of the Security Council Igor Ivanov, Deputy Premier Dmitry Medvedev, David Yakobashvili of Wimm-Bill-Dann, Mikhail Fridman of Alpha-Group, UGMP President Iskandar Makhmudov, Duma Deputy Chairman Arthur Chilingarov, Vladimir Yevtushenkov of System, Sibneft President Alexander Ryazanov, co-owner of Metalloinvest and Gazmetall Alisher Usmanov with his wife Irina Viner (the famous coach), Konstantin Ernst of Channel One, Oleg Dobrodeyev of the VGTRK (All-Russian State TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation), Vogue Chief Editor Alyona Doletskaya, Tatiana Mikhalkova of the Russian Silhouette Trust, former figure skater Irina Rodnina, Duma deputy Suleiman Kerimov, and many others. Oriental bazaar with the traditional Uzbek homecraft articles was set up at the entrance. A broad assortment of Uzbek snacks was available, with pilau as the main course. Pop-group Yalla performed on the podium. The track list included "Uchkuduk - Three Wells", a Soviet vintage hit.
According to Izvestia, the Navruz was celebrated in March, and the celebration was therefore promoted as a culture and arts party. Karimova, a politician and businesswoman, was in the focus of attention.
Her dressing gown decorated with jewels, gold, and pearls, and golden powder on her open shoulders - all of that sparked and glittered in the bright lights like a kaleidoscope.
