"Statement of the Uzbek Prosecutor General's Office to the effect that some participants of the events in Andizhan were trained in southern regions of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan does not have anything to do with the actual state of affairs," Kabar news agency quoted V. Khan, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, as saying on September 6.

"Secret services and law enforcement agencies do not possess any information indicating that southern regions of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan were used to train terrorists and religious extremists. We will study all and any materials the Uzbek side cares to provide," Khan said.
